Key Statistics Insights:
1. Illusion of Busyness versus the Reality of Loss
The channel provides a high volume of activity (500 signals per year), which can create an illusion of productivity and engagement. However, this high frequency only accelerates the losses. With a constant negative edge, the channel generated an average loss of -1.8 pips for every single hour of the year (11,032 pips / (24 hours * 365 days)), effectively grinding down subscriber accounts around the clock.
2. The Mathematical Certainty of a Negative Strategy
It's an arithmetic certainty. At a 36% win rate with a 1/0.42 Risk/Reward ratio (they risk 1 in hopes of winning 0.42), the expected return on trade is comfortably in the red.
Intended Return per Trade = (Win Rate * Avg Profit) - (Loss Rate * Avg Loss)
= (0.36 * 30) - (0.64 * 70) = 10.8 - 44.8 = -34 pips
This calculation confirms that every signal sent has a theoretical average value of -34 pips. The 500 trades annually simply realize this negative expectation on a massive scale.
3. No "Safe Haven" Device
Though the aggregate losses differed by instrument, each of the 7 major forex pairs finished the year significantly in the red. There wasn't even one consistently profitable market for this trading method. The "best" of the bunch, USD/CAD, lost just -1,102 pips nonetheless, with the worst of the bunch bleeding -2,150 pips. This points to something wrong with the trading approach itself, and not just ill fortune on one particular pair.
4. A "Best" Trade is Overbalanced by One "Worst" Trade
The four strongest single signals we conjured all made strong impressions, between +131 and +156 pips. But the arithmetic of the dismal Risk/Reward of the strategy comes starkly into view here. The best single signal profit (+156 pips) is entirely erased by the aggregate loss of just two poor average losing trades (-140 pips). This illustrates how much pressure you're under to be correct nearly all the time if your losses are over double your gains—a burden this channel's 36% win rate cannot endure.
The Bottom Line
Sureshot FX positions itself as a "sure shot" trading signal provider, but inspection of the one-year history shows us a method that mathematically cannot avoid generating losses.
Though the channel has been in existence for 5 years and produces many signals (1-2 in /day), this activity creates its greatest risk. The system has a lethal flaw: the win rate is 36% with a terrible Reward/Risk ratio of 0.42/1. That means that although winners average +30 pips in profit, the losses average the terrible -70 pips.
The result is no less predictable than disappointing. Over the recent year, a subscriber following all signals would have lost in excess of -11,000 pips. That is an average loss of -212 pips per week or -34 pips per trade.
Our Rating: Bad
Verdict: Sureshot FX isn't some service with periodic losses; it's a system with an extremely negative expected value. The steady, frequent draining of capital in all major forex pairs makes this something inherent to the strategy rather than some sort of bug. Any short-term gains are instantly washed away by the gargantuan losses. Steer clear of this channel at all costs. Your capital can do better than this.
